Heroquest 25th figures preview

Heroquest is releasing soon and the guys from Forja y Desvan, managed to publish some videos showing part of the figures that we are making for the game.

2014 recap (V) Deadzone Miniatures for Mantic Games

Mantic Games started recently realeasing some plastic kits I sculpted for them a year ago for Deadzone: the plague zombies and the peacekeepers. They sent me a copy of the plague zombie kit, but I'm still waiting for my Peacekepers (Mantic couldn't distribute them, they just received a load of boxes with copies from the factory, you can see the items in the peacekeeper sprue in the bottom right image).

2014 recap (IV) Dark Elf Bloodbowl team for Impact Miniatures.

I've been working in this little ones for a while now, there's fourteen unique different figures, it's the second blood bowl team that I get to make. The first blood bowl team I sculpted was a team of amazons, more than a year ago, and they were the first (more or less) realistic figures that I got to do professionally! I'm happy with the result!

I've sculpted dozens of realistic style figures from that days, and I feel much more confortable doing this kind of jobs. I am happy seeing how I have improved in this relatively small amount of time, only a year ago I was still struggling a lot with human anatomy.

2014 recap (III). Total Extinction painted casts.

Sentinel Games just released images of their Union of colonies infantry for Total Extinction. Can't wait to see the tank and the chopper I made for them too as well as the rest of the Glorlon alien army.

2014 recap (I). HeroQuest 25th anniversary

During the last months there's been quite some news worth sharing.

First of all, I'm sculpting for HeroQuest 25th Anniversary edition! For those who don't know yet, Gamezone Miniatures bought the trademark HeroQuest in Spain. They made a successful crowfunding campaign that gathered more than enough backers to release an updated version of the game coming this winter to conmemorate the 25th anniversary of the game. There's been some controversy because of another company in the U.S. having the rights over the trademark there, and people arguing that it was somehow dishonest from Gamezone getting to make a game with the Heroquest name not having bought the trademark all around the world. Nonsense, all of it.

Long story short, this critics made it difficult to crowfound the game but finally they succeded, and I've been working with them for a few months now. It make's me very happy to say that I got to model the barbarian and the dwarf, my favourite characters, as well as the female dwarf, the huntress, and skeletons, mummies as well as other stuff that has not been released to the public yet and that I will show you as soon as I'm allowed.
